Community Benefit Funding 2025

To the Narembeen Community,

Following the first round of Community Benefit Funding, we were pleased to support two local groups within the community. We’ve received some questions about how funds from the Bin-to-Bin Marathon are distributed, so we’d like to provide some clarity as we move forward.

Firstly, and most importantly, 100% of community donations go directly to Hurt to Help recipients. This has always been at the core of our mission, and that commitment remains unchanged.

Alongside this, a small portion of funds raised through the Bin-to-Bin Marathon — via grants, sponsorships, raffles, and other initiatives — contributes to the Community Benefit Fund. This fund allows us to give back to the Narembeen community that supports the event, recognising the ongoing contributions that make it all possible.

While the first round did not go exactly as we had hoped, and the outcome left us disappointed, we have reflected on the process and made changes to ensure future rounds are fairer, clearer, and more closely aligned with the guidelines and values of Hurt to Help.

We are confident these refinements will strengthen the process, improve clarity, and ensure that funding continues to deliver meaningful outcomes for both recipients and the local community.

Thank you for your ongoing support, involvement, and feedback. Together, we will continue to make a positive difference for those in need and for the community we are proud to stand alongside.
